Here is a new digital microprocessor controlled channel kit for all the mb8719/mb8734pll radios.

McKINLEY / RS TRC490 / RS TRC 450 / SBE LCBS8 / SBE LCMS8 / ROBYN SB505D AND OTHER RADIOS THAT use the mb8719/mb8734 pll with the 11.3258 xtal or the 11.1125 xtal.

*Directions are make sure your radio has the 11.3258 xtal. I can supply on for $10.00

*Then remove the pll chip and install the supplied 18 pin socket. ISOLATE PIN 10 FROM GROUND orient pin 1 to match.

*Replace the 2 capacitors included with kit, this will broadband the vco to lock all channels.

*Plug in the kit harness with correct pin 1 matching either the module kit or the small box kit or the frequency counter kit.

*If you buy the frequency counter kit you will need to solder 2 wires shown in direction and then supply 12 volts to the frequency counter.

*The switches are color coded RED GREEN AND YELLOW And will reflect on the paper channel chart included.

* this kit will give 28.045 down to 26.495 with no missed channels using the toggle switches to fill in missing channels.

* 3 position rotary switch is left- low channels mid- reg 1-40 and right- High channels.

* There are no missed channels but will need to read the channel chart and see what switch will give you what frequency.

* THE FREQUENCY COUNTER IS A TRUE F-COUNTER BUT DOES NOT HAVE THE SSB OFF SET FOR SIDEBAND.As you 

  can see in pictures the off sets it shows. This works very will showing channels you are on.

Any questions please contact me this will be in my web page and facebook page also. thanks to all All Here is a microchip controlled channel mod for radios with the MB8719pll/MB8734pll with the 11.1124 or 11.3258 xtal. About 20 radios use this the 2000gtl/148gtl Washington base/Madison base and plenty more radios. This kit is pll controlled no xtals to tune. Just remove the pll from radio and store it away. Install 18 pin socket. There are 2 resistors to cut and 2 caps to replace all in the directions. The kit comes in 3 different models. 1 -has the frequency counter and switches in the box that will sit on top of radio 2- switches in the smaller box with no frequency counter. 3- module with switches to be installed directly in radio and mount switches. The kit will come with easy directions and the 2 caps that need to be replaced to wide band the VCO for channel band with 28.045 to 26.485. Radio will need to be tuned for receive and power to equal out across the channels. It took me about 45 minutes to remove the socket install then plug in the kit. Then to retune radio and was back on the Air. This kit is much more stable than the Expo 100 kits that were xtal controlled. I will add more info in the directions if you buy the kit. Directions will be the same for all 3 kits just the frequency counter to be omitted if not wanted.

Just asking as in the past many people ask if I sell the Expo kits for the cobra 2000/148/Washington's/grants and all the radios that use the 11.3258 and radios that use the 11.1125 main xtal. I have designed a relay board that will work perfect for the extra channel mods will give 40 above and 40 below. 80 extra channels, and am and ssb will align perfect. The kit is electronic switching so no drifting/oscillation. I have one installed in a Washington base and works great. MB8719 PLL MOD KIT 6 POSITION ROTARY DIODE SWITCHING

This is a 5 position rotary switch to channel mod the MB8719 chassis with the 11.3258 crystal.

This will eliminate toggle switching and guessing up down position with the toggles.

Just rotate to the position and the channel map will tell you what channels you are on.

kit also includes a switch for the 10kc channel drop for missed channels that fall into the missing A channels.

SHOULD HAVE SOME SOLDERING SKILLS AS 1 TRACE CUT IS NEEDED AND PIN 10 ISOLATED FROM GROUND.

Here is a 35 sound byte SiFi module. Includes Cobra 29 vfo windup and cobra 2000 vfo windup

Here is a SiFi module with 35 sounds has the Cobra 29 and 148gtl and 2000gtl VFO windup sounds. Other sounds are all vfo ans SiFi sounds. Module is a 4 wire hook up. Has forward and reverse search buttons and a green led blinks to the audio sound. White is Audio Black is grnd Red is 12volts. Add on/off sw for this wire to shut sound module off.
